Delicious bakery and desserts with attention and care, served in a charming and rustic environment. I also had the pistachio sorce that was 5. Beautiful outdoor terrace and indoor seating, flower baskets and other special accents that stop this little jewel to a...must stop when in the area. View all feedback.
What Hassan Littel doesn't like about The Fickle Fig Farm Market:
My soup and sandwich was delicious, but there was not the variety of choice I used to see. Baking was almost unexistent and the variety of sandwiches disappointing. This is at noon. The staff were not as friendly or as helpful as they might have been... If I'm in food, I'll get a takeout cup. Why can't my drink be delivered to the table together with my food. Flavour and freshness in all they produce and serve. Local farms, local arts, and tasty treats. My only go to place for ordering special cakes or pickup up a combination of deserts for a party. I also have to admit I love the bread, most importantly, the atmosphere. Friendly, simple and lovely to spend a couple hours on the back patio with friends eating fresh pizza.
I am a regular customer of this establishment. I don't know what happen today, but I am not happy with the treatment I received here.I order a dessert to go that was priced at $5.50. When we went to pay at the till, the woman said it was $8.95.When we told/showed her it was priced at 5.50, she said that someone must have miss priced it, and that it was 8.95.I tried to explain that she should still honour the marked price, which she refused. We then asked to speak to the owner, as we are regulars. He comes, and says, no it's mispriced and that we would have to pay the higher price, even though it was marked at the lower price. We left with nothing. No very good customer service, especially for a regular customer. I don't know if they were just having a bad day, but it sure put me off - don't know when or if we'll return.Upset me enough to come and write a review. Customer service is everything to a small business.
Stopped mid-day and had the most wonderful lunch. Quiche was superb and possibly the best crust I've ever had. Rhubarb / strawberry tart was also excellent. Moderate price for gourmet food and a charming atmosphere.
We really enjoyed the coffee & freshly made coffee cake, it was so delicious. The service was amazing.
It's a great time of year to enjoy some fabulous treats here (there's even some for the dog!) and pick up local farm products. This is my go-to spot for coffee when I just want to sit and soak up the rural vibe. The staff is terrific, too.
