Deep Cove Chalet - North Saanich

My wife is a chef, and we always struggle to find great places to dine. We are willing to go to great lengths to discover top-notch restaurants in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. This restaurant is absolutely amazing, one of the best we have ever visited. All four of us sampled each of our appetizers and main courses, and we all agreed that every dish was exceptional. The portions were much larger than those at Le Crocodile and Hawksworth, and the quality was just as good. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was, something that hasn't happened to me in years at a restaurant. The menu has remained unchanged for 50 years, and Chef Owner Pierre personally prepares every meal. The wine list is world-class and would make any sommelier's dreams come true. The restaurant is situated on a breathtaking oceanfront property worth millions, fit for the rich and famous. The only downside is that Pierre is getting older, and when he retires, the dining experience may not be the same. So be sure to make a reservation months in advance and savor a heavenly dining experience. You won't regret it. Troy.

This restaurant is undoubtedly the best in the world, surpassing even the French Laundry in Napa. We always schedule our outings based on when this restaurant is available.

We were extremely impressed with this hidden French restaurant that offers five-star white table service right on the water in Deep Cove.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and tonight was a special birthday celebration. It was the perfect evening! From arriving a bit early and being invited to the beautiful waterfront garden by Victor the retriever, to the top-notch service, the incredible meal, the stunning view from our table, and the lovely surprise birthday dessert. Everything was absolutely perfect!

We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience. Our server Meghan was delightful. We visited for both lunch and dinner during our week-long stay in the country. Despite not being wealthy, we found the prices to be affordable compared to similar restaurants in the US. We will definitely return next time we are in Canada. Unfortunately, we were unable to dine here last year as we did not have a reservation. As for Alex's complaints, we believe he may have unruly children, which could explain any issues he experienced with the owner.
