It was Canada Day so it was very busy i... read more Very cute decor and friendly, attentive service. It was a good stop for breakfast after taking the ferry from Vancouver. It was Canada Day so it was very busy in Sidney, yet the service at the Five and Dime was still spot on. We would have rated the restaurant higher, but my husband like more sauce on his benedicts and I like my eggs less cooked. Its very subjective and we should have let them know in advance. I would try it again and I would recommend it to others.

After that, they ignored us for 15 minutes, and there were still others with menus whose orders had not been taken and who had arrived before we did. Then we heard the waitress say to another table that the coffee machine was now broken. We left money on the table for the coffee and left.Clearly, they were unprepared to handle the number of tables they have in their establishment.

Mine was traditional and my wife had Mexican flavor ( spice ) . The sauce was just terrible and salty for mine I asked the waitress if the bacon was back bacon and she replied yes but it was just regular bacon , half the plate was full of potatoes deep fried . No imagination no garnish poor presentation . We left feeling ripped off $36 later.

Our waitress and the s... read more Stopped into the Five and Dime over the weekend and was not disappointed. The wait time to get in was a bit long but not an issue at all. Our waitress and the staff were great and very friendly and the Betty White eggs Benny was amazing. Thank you forthe good experience!
