The waiters were not attentive and I had to ask three times to pay the bill, which took almost 20 minutes in the end, despite the restaurant being only half full.

We recieved a warm greeting and was sh... read more As a Curry conessuir hailing from Birmingham I was delighted to stumble across this Gem in Bangor a couple of weeks back. We recieved a warm greeting and was shown to our seats. I noted the place was spotlessly clean with gleaming glass and tableware. A pleasant volume of Indian music was playing. And the decor although garish added to the expierience and authenticity. Our drinks orders taken within seconds poppadoms arrived. I perused the Menu. Slightly disappointed that some of the hotter variants that are found around Birmingham Chicken tikka Tawa) were not on the menu, I was delighted to see my favourite starter King prawn bhuna on puri which arrived cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. For main I settled for Chicken tikka massage with Pilau rice and a Peshawari naan. I have to say it was heavenly. The portion was huge but I ate it all because to waste any would be a crime. I left, feeling stuffed and extremely satisfied.

The food and service are both consistently amazing... read more Bangla is one of my favourite restaurants, and my favourite Indian restaurant in Northern Ireland definitely. The food and service are both consistently amazing every time I visit. There is always a great atmosphere, it is well priced, very clean, hygienic and a well set up restaurant. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian food!
