The Old Mill - North Devon
The Old Mill
Description
The restaurant experience reveals a stark divide between a friendly atmosphere and poor food quality. While patrons appreciate the welcoming staff, clean environment, and entertaining quiz nights, the food consistently falls short, often described as overpriced and unpalatable. Signature dishes like fish and chips, chicken pies, and Sunday roasts have received critical reviews for being bland, improperly cooked, and poorly presented. Despite the inviting ambiance and commendable service, many diners express dissatisfaction and recommend seeking alternatives, leaving potential visitors with a word of caution about the culinary offerings.

Feedback
We were highly impressed with the quality of food at The Old Mill Pub. Their commitment to sourcing local ingredients was evident in the delicious locally produced burgers we enjoyed. The portion sizes were generous and offered excellent value. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, and the children's playground was top-notch. They also offer reasonably priced children's meals. We highly recommend this establishment and would definitely return. Those visiting on a Thursday evening should check out the quiz night. The pub is open to both non-residents and guests of the Golden Coast holiday village.
This pub is a fantastic retreat from the busy city life. Great ambiance and atmosphere.
We had a very enjoyable evening at a bustling bar. Despite the high volume of customers, Rhian was extremely welcoming and helpful, working tirelessly and remaining courteous at all times.
Awful! £16 for adult carvery, the food was terrible, you get two slices of meat, the roast potatoes had no flavour and weren't cooked, sprouts were undercooked Gravy was like water and tasteless, place was messy, dirty, usless staff and overpriced, never going again.
