What burleypwb likes about The Hunters' Inn:
I stayed in Room 7 for 3 nights. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I had dinner at the restaurant every night and the quality was consistently good. This was my second visit and I will definitely stay here again. View all feedback. What Prof T S doesn't like about The Hunters' Inn:
Terrible. The National Trust should be embarrassed for outsourcing food at such a great location. The steak and ale pie was decent, but everything else was awful (including the button mushrooms, carrots, mange tout, and mash). The scampi and peas were overcooked and disappointing. The price for the quality of the food was unreasonably high. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in the picturesque Heddon Valley, The Hunters Inn offers a beautiful setting but presents a divided experience. While some diners praise the friendly service and decent food, others lament a decline in quality since becoming a franchise under Bespoke Hotels. Disappointing dishes and a lack of atmosphere left some feeling let down, overshadowing delightful meals enjoyed by others. The venue's charm is complemented by its stunning surroundings, making it a great stop for walkers—if only the culinary offerings could match the breathtaking views. Only time will reveal if improvements are on the horizon.
