Description

Nestled within a bustling supermarket, this café offers a mixed bag of dining experiences. Many patrons appreciate the clean environment and friendly staff, and the breakfast options, though limited, are generally well-received. However, service inconsistencies have marred several visits, with long waits and limited food choices frequently highlighted. While some dishes, like cheese toasties and chips, receive praise, others, including the fish and chips, have disappointed. Despite these issues, the café remains a decent stop for a casual meal, especially for those in need of a quick bite while shopping, thanks to its ample parking and extended service hours.

Only marked as 4 stars as there was very little choice. but what we did was super tasty cheese and tomatentoasties, chips and a kos zero for me and a cup of tea for me. was quiet when we arrived and eat. came quite fast. When we finished, the caffe was pretty busy. my mother said the chips were the best they ever had!

That was my third visit in the load under a month. while the staff in general are helpful and informed, the same cannot be said for the caffe. every time I was either ignored or served extremely slowly. this begins when ordering is placed directly up until eating arrives. it does not seem to be a lack of personal, but nothing is done in any obvious order or with any kind of enthusiasm. I had the same dish every time, a cheese and a ham toasty that is not too bad.

A supermarket cafe wouldn’t be my first choice but sometimes needs must. My Chicken Tikka with rice and naan was good, the childrens’ fish and chips was over cooked and dry. The fruit was fresh, tea and coffee were good and the staff were lovely . The other good points were that there’s plenty of parking and they keep serving lunches till late in the afternoon, both of which are how we ended up there.

Although the staff appears to be genuinely kind, it seems they lack proper training or are not suited for their roles. I have visited multiple times, hoping for improvement, but each time I have experienced long wait times, incorrect orders, or improperly cooked food.
