My girlfriend and I had dinner here. The slow service, overshadowing the chefs' meticulously prepared dishes, the poor architecture of the place, and the grumpy waiter unfortunately made the whole experience a failure in our eyes. Although all the dishes were delicious, these factors overshadowed the chefs' efforts. We ordered a bottle of the same wine that we liked so much as an aperitif, but the waiter gave us the bottle that had already been opened and charged us for both the first two glasses and the bottle, meaning we ended up drinking two fewer glasses. That was an unacceptable mistake for my opinion in a two starred restaurant. These dishes definitely deserve a better atmosphere and more professional service. If you are only focused on the food and not looking for an atmosphere, architectural features or a quality service you can try Flaveur. Please also be noted that the total dinner is a five-hour experience. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I used to think that the only important thing about how good a restaurant was is the quality of the food served, the rest is an added bonus band not a requirement. Of course I was wrong and nowhere highlights this more than at Flaveur. I’ve never previously walked out of a restaurant before the completion of the menu, I have now. The taste of the food was faultless. Dish after dish was packed full of punchy flavours that were interesting and beautifully conceived. The problem was the speed of the whole service. I understand that good food shouldn’t be rushed and should be savoured, but this was going to the extreme in the other direction. At the 3 hour mark, I was starting to get bored and a little concerned. At the 4.5 hour mark, when the first of the deserts arrived, I gulped it down without really tasting it and even forgot to take a picture of it. I knew it was time to go, as the awfulness of the situation was really starting to get to me, and I knew if I stayed for the next 2 courses I would have gotten progressively more annoyed and I started to feel like a abductee being held hostage and just wanted to get out. There may be a time and place for such a languid service. In a large group, you might like the slow service, as it give you more time to speak to everyone in the party. As a solo dinner, even I was getting sick of my own company. Maybe it should have said something earlier, but it just occurred to me that throughout the meal, I don’t think I was ever asked if everything was ok, which most restaurants do. Maybe check in with your diners and offer a less laborious service to those not thus inclined. There must be a way to service this food more expediently without compromising the quality. It is a shame that my abiding memory of this meal (I waited a few weeks before writing this) will not be any of the marvellous dishes showcased, but instead how torturously it was, and how it made me to leave prematurely from a restaurant for the first time in my life. The two Michelin macarons are quite justified. The Tourteaux brothers treat you taste buds with original dishes and filled with Mediterranean flavours. Just succulent. BRAVO

Just amazing. 4 wine pairings, 6 course each with many ‘mini-courses’ ! We were seated at 7:30, didn’t walk out until 11:00! It cost 550 Euros Christmas gift from our son! but was amazing. On a small side street Gubernatis but it was a safe area! They have been there for 14 years. Photos explain it all.
