Finally a good Chinese restaurant in newtown as expat of hk is my favorite Chinese restaurant in sydney the golden century, but it is from my price class. I heard a rumor that the chief of gc cooks in old streets newtown. I went to the lunch special today and was not disappointed. Stopped by for a lunch with a friends as they have a $1 Dumpling special (3 serves per portion) with any purchase. I had a Mixed Entree platter of prawn toast, prawn cutlet, pork dimsim and veg spring roll – nice for $6.50. For mains I couldn't decide and had both the Sweet Sour Pork and Chicken Satay. Thee meat ratio is rationed when it comes to the $10-$12 lunch special for these mains but its ok in terms of flavou... View all feedback.
