What Modesto Heidenreich likes about Newtown Hotel:
The OG of Newtown venues and it still Carrys it's self well filled with adventurous levels. You come to this place for the good vibes. The food is well priced but there may need to be a few more options for the ladies! :P overall great place for a social feed with friends View all feedback. What Jefferey Bradtke doesn't like about Newtown Hotel:
I had lunch here yesterday and it was so disappointing. $19 for a greasy, flavorless chicken burger that I only had half of, and felt very average for the rest of the day. Front bar was not at all busy but the staff were disinterested and slow. Many better pubs in Newtown, which is a shame because it could be so great! View all feedback.

read moreNewtown Hotel has undergone a series of changes over the years, with its current menu offering Japanese-influenced and pan-Asian bar food, diverging from its previous Greek cuisine. Despite mixed reviews about the friendliness of the bartenders and cleanliness of glassware, the venue offers a variety of seating areas to cater to different preferences. The eat up kitchen is highly recommended for its delicious Japanese fusion dishes, with particular praise for the Japanese hotdogs and pork belly soba. The $4 pizza deal is a favorite for many, with vegan cheese options available. The venue is also noted for its comedy nights, trivia nights, and perfect spot on the veranda overlooking King Street. Overall, Newtown Hotel is commended for its great selection of beers, vibrant atmosphere, and quality pub fare.
