The OG of Newtown venues and it still Carrys it's self well filled with adventurous levels. You come to this place for the good vibes. The food is well priced but there may need to be a few more options for the ladies! :P overall great place for a social feed with friends View all feedback.
What Jefferey Bradtke doesn't like about Newtown Hotel:
I had lunch here yesterday and it was so disappointing. $19 for a greasy, flavorless chicken burger that I only had half of, and felt very average for the rest of the day. Front bar was not at all busy but the staff were disinterested and slow. Many better pubs in Newtown, which is a shame because it could be so great! View all feedback.
Newtown Hotel is a great spot to unwind after a day of work, or to meet a group of friends. I like that it has a few different seating areas to suit everyone, the comfy booths downstairs, the lovely beer garden out the back, the restaurant upstairs, the awesome caravan and the balcony for people with gross smoking habits. They make very good drinks and the $4 pizza is a favourite. Thank you for having vegan cheese!!
Excellent service and a beautiful setting. We sat outside in the balcony and they even give you blankets to keep warm! Bonus! Ordered the steak and fat fries....gorgeous! Cane back second time and opted for the Animal Banquet. It was exceptional! Beautiful wine list and so super impressed!! Couldn't fault a thing with this evening
We visited the Animal for a friends birthday. We had a large group and the staff were very helpful and attentive helping us with a vanquished menu. Very reasonably priced and delicious. Easy access bar upstairs was also a bonus!
I give him a 4 stars because of the great space, the beautiful environment and the happy hours pizza: the drinks are easy, so if they want a casual affordable place to enjoy on a Friday night, this is not a bad idea at all
I came here a few times to enjoy the occasional drink and the nibben. I like the separate sub- and super-story areas, with different music games in each area. I love the cocktails and drinks, especially the small quirk of segregation of the wee through cheap wine, decent wine, good wine and imaginative wine. Eating here is also really nice! I loved the pizzas that are $4 during the happy hour! I would also have a walk with the Arancini balls and pommes, because why not! the menu also offers baptism of vegetarian options that is fantastic. the service is also very friendly and fast, which is always great on a busy Saturday night! always happy to come back for a nice night of drinking and eating in the Newtown...read more
