Camp - Newry
Camp
Description
Nestled near Sunday River, Camp offers a delightful dining experience with a comfortable atmosphere and mostly excellent food. Diners rave about standout dishes like the juicy burger, flavorful haddock, and beautifully presented beet salad. While service can be hit-or-miss, with some guests noting inattentiveness and slower initial service, many highlight friendly staff who enhance the experience. The restaurant's busy bar area keeps spirits high, but some patrons felt prices were slightly steep. Overall, Camp remains a solid choice for families and visitors looking for quality meals in a ski-centric locale, and many express a readiness to return.

Very good place to eat at Sunday River but I thought the food was overpriced. I would have preferred more simple foods at the ski resort. Ive been coming to Sunday River for years and I thought the service was slower than usual. I ate breakfast daily and 2 dinners there. Breakfast buffet was ok for the price they charge. Would go back again as its very convenient when staying at the hotel.
Excellent food tonight at Camp! The server Tara was extremely accommodating. Northern states do not understand much about the importance of sweet tea to those from the South. Tara went above and beyond to meet the needs of our party and mixed up sweet tea for me. Andrew was nice and shared details about the restaurant and the buffet. Thank you for the only place in the area who offered real southern vegetables.
Had a great dinner with friends here recently and the staff was great. I enjoyed the slow roasted chicken this time and it was delicious. Brianna was a great server, Lulu, Max and the rest of the support staff were excellent as well. The entire dining room was packed and not one frown to be seen I think everyone there enjoyed their experience as much as we did ! Will come back soon.
Pricey like any resort restaurant. Bison bolognese was excellent as was salad. Companion and I split each. Full disclosure-I am a volunteer with Sunday River.
It's still early in the season, so the restaurant hasn't quite ramped up for the winter rush yet. The menu was somewhat limited, and unfortunately, they were out of the only steak option. However, the Brussels sprout appetizer was outstanding. The decor is pleasant, though it does show some signs of wear; a refresh of the chairs could be beneficial. The dessert selection was also limited, so we decided to skip it. I really miss their s’mores bread pudding! If you find yourself on the mountain, it's a decent option, but it lacks a wow factor.
