The food was amazingly delicious, and the staff is so attentive and pleasant. Great place to celebrate, or just have dinner!
Great place. My wife and I enjoyed the paella for two. What an excellent dish! We also enjoyed the sangria. My wife and I shared a pitcher of that. Deserts and the fresh made coffee were the final touch on a great dinner. We will be back!
This is our second time coming here. We had a wonderful experience the first time, over the summer. This time was very busy due to the New Year's Eve, so service was slower than the last time. Our dishes were very good and priced very reasonable.
We love Sol Mar and have been there multiple times. The staff are exceptional super nice and the food is outstanding. I always get the grilled octopus on the roof tile and although it said market price, it was less expensive than a lot of the entrées. One point I would make is that they try to give you cheese and sausage bread for the table and you think it’s free but they end up charging you for it. Not a lot of money but I think it’s a little bit sneaky. I’ve learned to say no thank you. And also it’s not that good. But our party of 10 had a wonderful time. Oh and the Sangria is awesome. We got red.
Great place to catch up with old friends while enjoying a delicious meal. Portions are plentiful and fish nice and fresh. Service was outstanding- always there when we wanted Ramon, but never intrusive or rushed. Love the wine list. Overall one of my go to Portuguese places in Newark as it consistently delivers.
