What Mary E doesn't like about The Bao:
This place is disgusting! Very poor management and unprofessional.. Please avoid eating here or ordering from them. They literally put your food on the restaurant Floor!! Mind you there's also water bugs right outside their restaurant and they easily crawl inside the restaurant. They refuse to refund me for the way they handles my order very unsanitary.. read moreThis popular restaurant in the East Village offers a casual atmosphere perfect for hanging out with friends. While not solely a Shanghai cuisine spot, the menu boasts a variety of delicious dishes, with highlights including soup dumplings, braised pork belly, and chili chicken. The truffle fried rice and dumplings are particularly recommended, although some dishes may contain pork. With tasty food, quick service, and a clean and welcoming environment, this restaurant is a great choice for a tasty meal with friends or family.
