This is a MUST GO restaurant every time you come to NYC. The place is an Italian old fashion style. Carlos is the nicest guy ever to make you feel at home. The food is delicious, you will not notice the difference between America and Italy, fresh ingredients. Very recommended. View all feedback.
What Alena A doesn't like about Grotta Azzurra:
Not a bad place, very nice stuff, pleasant old Italian American atmosphere. However, I ordered the pasta with clams, and my clams were full of sand... It's almost okay if there's a tiny bit of sand in them, but what I got made it absolutely crunchy. Mussel soup was quite good, and the gelato was okay. And unfortunately the house wine was not great. The personal is friendly. the waiting workers do not rush them through their meal and make sure they have everything they need. really an authentic Italian restaurant with fantastic eating. I would definitely recommend coming here.
We went to little italy, hoping to find authentic Italian food to a reasonable and we met a home! we had 4 different meal times and everyone was fantastic. the waiter, anthony, was efficient and friendly and could answer all our questions. I recommend grotta azzura ristorante!
I was there last Sunday. 12/5/21... I had in layers of soal and nasty had rib eyes. very delicious food; quantity was a lot. my fish was made with butter and white wine. the steak was great!. the personal was friendly. the only (only for me.) it is a personal preference) they give nothing on the house (they know like chips in a Mexican restaurant, but no roll because prices were presumably. a great experience for us. I also had the “smoky criminal” drink
That must be one of my favorite restaurants! the limoncello martinis are divine and eating is absolutely delicious! highly recommended.
Went to this place by myself and ordered Minestrone, Eggplant Parm and Oban 14Y. Minestrone was subpar lacking in flavors and devoid of any salt. They could have done better being the first restaurant while entering Little Italy. Instead of EP i got served Eggplant Rollatini...bad service there. Oban was not made in the restaurant...so no way to go wrong there. Overall a very disappointing experience.
