Maybe I expected more from a French restaurant in the middle of Manhattan in terms of atmosphere, service and the taste of food. The expectations never corresponded to what was presented to me. I love the food here. Beef was very tender and scallops were very flavorful. Desserts were fantastic!!! The only complain I have would be the bread, they were not served warm. Other than that, everything else was fantastic! Would definitely want to come again. View all feedback.

read moreDespite some mixed reviews of the service, the food at Cognac restaurant in Manhattan shines through as truly exceptional. The extensive menu offers a variety of classic French dishes, with highlights including cheese souffle, mussels, and chocolate souffle. While some dishes may fall short of expectations, such as the paella lacking traditional flavors, the overall experience is charming and enjoyable. The outdoor seating adds to the ambiance, making it a great option for those seeking a quiet and tasty meal near Carnegie Hall. Overall, Cognac is a solid choice for good French cuisine in the area.
