What alan likes about Dooky Chase:
A historic dining institution in New Orleans known for its Creole cuisine. The creole gumbo is stocky, with a deep flavor that is not too varietal. A fun bit of spice at the end is much appreciated. read moreThis historic dining institution in New Orleans is known for its exceptional Creole cuisine. The creole gumbo is a standout dish with a rich flavor and a delightful hint of spice. The fried chicken is incredibly tender and perfectly breaded, while the mac and cheese strikes a nice balance between cheesy and creamy. The ambiance of the restaurant is charming and welcoming, with clean tables and friendly staff. Visitors rave about the delectable dishes, especially the gumbo that tastes homemade, and the fried chicken and red beans and rice that are both highly recommended. The peach cobbler is a must-try for dessert, completing a truly magical dining experience at this iconic establishment.
