Bouchet Bee Dinners is an exceptional pop-up collaboration featuring the chef, The Jarvis @220, and Savi’s Wine Shop. The food and wine are outstanding, and The Jarvis provides a stunning setting for the experience. View all feedback.
What Hadley Gorczany doesn't like about Bouchée Bee:
As a wine-pairing dinner, it was decent, but the overall selection didn't suit our taste in wines. The protein and accompanying vegetables were underwhelming. However, the other courses were enjoyable. We appreciate the venue and have had much better experiences here in the past. View all feedback.
A so funny collaboration between the cook, the venue and the local wine shop.
The entire evening was delightful. Food and service were great. The wine was good but not outstanding. Overall the cost was a bit excessive. Something we would probably only do occasionally.
An exceptional experience. We dined at Bouchee Bee in May to celebrate a special occassion, they set aside a special table for us and left us a note what a great attention to detail! We were welcomed with a champagne cocktail at the door, a lovely touch; who doesn't love to start the evening with a bubbly in hand. But the food, OMG, the food!!!! The starter was a salmon tartar that was so good I would be willing to give unreasonable things to have it again. The second course was seared scallops over pea velloute scallops were cooked to perfection a beautiful sear on the outside while still soft and tender within, drooling just thinking about it again. Our main course was duck breast cooked to perfection (literally perfect! , juicy and tender a beautiful medium rare. The chef described each course which i appreciated. The wine pairings were well thought out and reasonably priced (the events are in partnership with a local wine shop so you can buy the wines if you wish . We requested to purchase a full case of one of them, we liked it so much. There was one wine i didn't love, but that was more to do with the varietal. All in all, this is a great experience. The intimate cozy setting gives you the feeling of being at a dinner party. The Jarvis is an incredibly beautiful venue, although we didn't stay there, we enjoyed meandering through the rooms downstairs before dinner started. Will definitely plan on another road trip to New Bern (and schedule around a Bouchee Bee event .
Valerie does an amazing job; she is an exceptional cook. Everything was wonderful. The pumpkin soup was delightful, and the lamb was out of this world. I only wish we could have had plum cake for dessert!
