I visited on a Tuesday night in June and... read more The exterior may not be impressive, but the interior is tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I visited on a Tuesday night in June and was seated promptly. Our server, a tall young man with blond hair, welcomed us warmly and was attentive throughout our meal. We started with fried green beans as an appetizer, which were surprisingly delicious—typical Midwest fare! I ordered the pulled pork nachos, and while they were tasty, the baked beans on top were a bit unexpected for my taste. Next time, I think I’ll ask for the beans on the side. Overall, we definitely plan to return to this restaurant!

I am so glad this place is next door to a Pilot, even though I have... read more As a truck driver, I m always looking for sit-down restaurants when I shut down for the day. I am so glad this place is next door to a Pilot, even though I have been known to walk a mile in order to get a good meal. Was seated within 3 minutes of walking in the door. My drink order was taken and brought very quickly. I ordered the ribeye (medium), baked potato and fried okra. The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly as ordered. I am used to the band potato having just a little bit of butter and bacon already on it. They brought heaping cups of butter, bacon and cheese so I could put as much or as little as I wanted. Prices were a little high, but beef is no longer cheap, so it's not unreasonable. And they even give a discount to truck drivers (waitress volunteered that info?. My waitress was attentuve to me without being overbearing about it by checking on me every 5 minutes like some places do. She made sure I had everything i needed without hovering. Here's to hoping I get sent on another run this way soon.
