Leo's Pizza & Greek Taverna - Nelson

The Greek flair is missing only the music was Greek inside: kitchen very noisy, they clean tables with too much bleach, it smells unpleasant, no Ouzo, no Greek Wine, food was ok, not cozy at all, eat pay go, they need some real plants

So, we were told this was s great place. And its pretty good. The server was very ‘professional’; the food was indeed yummy… standard thick tomato sauce lasagna which is quite fine. Time to be served was reasonable. But… a few of their patrons had such lusty voices the noise level was simply not bearable. The server offered us a table outside. Reluctantly we sat outside on their patio in our jackets. Obviously they wouldn’t want to deter regular clients; passing clientele concerns about noise levels seemed less important. Be so advised.

The pizza and service was good however when I asked to take home the1/2 bottle of wine we had purchased they wanted to charge us an extra $10 corkage fee. This undermines the Bc law which is to encourage you to drink sensible. Corkage fee is allowed only if you bring your own wine in. I don’t agree or support this extra charge therefore I will not be returning to Leo’s anytime soon.

Shards of broken glass in the food! Management became exceptionally hostile when questioned about the incident and tried to shrug it off as no big deal. If broken glass in the food isn 't a big deal I shudder to think what atrocities occur in their kitchen that aren 't a big deal ? Avoid this place like your life depends on it, it very well might!

Our first dinner out since the pandemic shutdown this year. Wow , we truly enjoyed the Greek “Corfu Sampler”. Fantastic! Perfect blend of flavours, plenty for 2 and prompt service. Highly recommend
