Just ordered take out and got it home and there were 5 small pieces of chicken in my butter chicken order. The whole container is full of sauce. Extremely disappointed!!!! Really wanted to give this place another try as I ordered a chicken dosai from them a while back and the chicken was all cartilage. Will not be ordering here again. Not good value at all. Especially when I spent $63.00 with a tip on this order and... View all feedback.
Everything we’ve ordered was excellent!! Staff was so friendly also! I recommend ! I discovered new indian food and was soooo happy !
I had a meal here a few nights ago. Fantastic variety meal with so many flavours and a very reasonable price. Basic surroundings but don’t hesitate as the food is great
The Samosa and Masala Dosa was some of the best I’ve ever had before! And also some Channa Masala, one of my favorite vegetarian curries. Both were excellent. The Rasgullas was super soft and all flavors were perfect. The samosa was almost in an egg roll wrapper. It was still delicious, but I wasn’t expecting that in Nelson? I would order here again! And again, I loved it.
This restaurant was a disaster. The management needs to improve their organization. We arrived at 7pm and ended up having to eat A&W at our Airbnb at 9pm. The restaurant was quite busy and only had a man and a new waitress with no previous serving experience, so the initial delays in taking our order and getting our drinks were understandable. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I had to approach the waitress to place our order and inform her that we needed to leave by a certain time. She finally came back a few minutes later and we placed our order. Unfortunately, they were out of the kebabs we wanted for an appetizer, so we had to change our order last minute. The first masala chai took 15 minutes to come out and was lukewarm. Another 15 minutes passed before the second one arrived, yet our food had still not come. The new server seemed inexperienced, rushing around and causing delays for every table. After over an hour without food, I asked the server to check on our order. She said it would be just 5 more minutes. The man then came over and asked if we had received our food yet, even though our table was still empty. We saw another couple who had arrived after us already eating their food, while we still waited. Finally, one dish was brought to our table without plates or cutlery. When I inquired about the second dish, I was told it was already on the plate. As we watched another table who had arrived 15 minutes ago receive their first dish, we decided to leave after sipping lukewarm masala chai and untouched curry beef. It was around 8:20 by then. Fortunately, there was an A&W nearby where we could eat. This was the worst dining experience we have ever had.
We stopped by for a quick lunch and had a fantastic experience. The waiter, who was from Mumbai, provided excellent service, and the two Masala Dosas we ordered were delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and wish there were more options for Southern Indian cuisine on Salt Spring Island.
