After booking an 18-day trip to Sri Lanka, we started our journey with a few days in Colombo Negombo. As we always research restaurants before a trip, we chose Lords based on its strong reviews. Including Lords in our culinary schedule was a fantastic decision. It was simply the best seafood I have ever had, surpassing any I've eaten in over 25 years of traveling on various continents. The seafood platter was beyond anything I had experienced before, with an abundance of high-quality shellfish that would typically cost much more in other popular destinations. The cost of the meal, at £88 including a couple of glasses of white wine, was staggeringly reasonable considering the exceptional quality of the food. The Jumbo Prawns were particularly outstanding in taste, size, and meatiness. The owner, Martin, runs the restaurant in an ethically sustainable manner, supporting Sri Lankan families and training over 2500 youngsters in the hospitality industry over the years. Getting to speak with him and learn about his practices made the meal even more memorable and enjoyable. This is a place not to be missed, and I rarely rave about restaurants like this.

I was impressed by the fish dish at this restaurant. It reminded me of the circle of life as I savored every bite. I absolutely loved it and would definitely order it again!

The food and service were good. The lighting was not too bright and the fans were a bit loud, but overall it was a great place! The owner has put a lot of thought into it.
