It is surprising how good this place is-food is great, wine is even better. I say surprising because I had never heard of it before my neighbors brought me. The best surprise? The low bill at the end of the meal. Great ambience, small, great music, great lasagna, great service. It is everything 5th Ave is not. View all feedback.
What Kree S doesn't like about Caffe Dell'amore:
We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and not your typical Italian cuisine. All 6 of us in our group liked our meals. We will definitely return to try more of their menu offerings! View all feedback.
We liked it! The food was very good. Not your typical Italian. Everyone at our 6 party enjoyed the food. We will definitely try something else again!
This was the second time that I dined at Caffe Dell'Amore and I am glad to return often. It is nice for this special occasion, but do not wait for a special occasion to enjoy an extraordinarily prepared meal. Your taste buds dance with pleasure after any course you experience at Dell Coffee'Amore.
My friend and I went to dinner and birthday. The place was very authentic Italian. The service was great as the food. We had such a romantic time, ate delicious homemade pasta and bread, they even brought a piece of flourless chocolate cake with vanilla and strawberry with an illuminated candle to celebrate the occasion. All about Caffe dell' Amore was perfect!!!
This was not our first visit to Caffe Del ' Amore, but iris likely our last. It was very disappointing due to churlish comments to us by Dominic , who is the Proprietor. To begin I had previously dined there with my family last Christmas Eve and again in February with a group of eleven business partners and associates from out of town. Both special occasions, both excellent experiences. The food, service and ambience put it high on our list. A bit pricey but worth it for a special event if a reservation could be had. That changed last night. We had a 7 pm reservation. We arrived and we 're seated in a very small private alcove of the main dining room. This alcove was set up with two tables for four in very close proximity--too close as it turned out. We ordered wine and dinner in due course and were waiting for the food to arrive. During this time four diners were seated at the adjacent table. They were loud talkers and the acoustics in the alcove made things unpleasant. We said nothing to them. My wife got up and approached Dominic, requesting to be relocated. He told her they would do so and that it would take a few minutes. A few minutes later we thought we were told they were ready, we got up and stepped to the station wehere Dominic greets arriving diners. As it turned out they were no quite ready to seat us, but the noise level was much lower there and so we stood for a couple of minutes, then were reseated. No diners arrived or departed during this time and nothing untoward occurred to my observation. Dominic came by the table shortly afterward and made the comment that you could hear a pin drop in the alcove . I thought it was odd and unnecessary, but didn 't react nor did my dining companions. He then walked around the table to where my wife was seated and made a passing comment to her which we all heard. He said To the moon, Alice . We recognized it as a demeaning andderogatory statement from Jackie Gleason to his wife. We sa
It's not much to look at from the street, as it's in a strip-mall like complex. But it's much nicer inside. They offer wine and beer only. The dishes are authentic Italian; which, to be honest, I am not used to. The tomato pasta dishes were a little too acidic for me. But I will say, the gnocchi was out of this world. The servers were very professional and pleasant; not rushing you in the least bit.
