Reviews - Hapi
Reviews summary
Hapi has garnered attention for its vibrant atmosphere and a menu that focuses on flavor, though patrons note a shift in excellence over time. While the café boasts a range of vegan options and delicious drinks, including a beloved vegan soft-serve, it falls short for those seeking extensive plant-based choices. The recent relocation to a larger space seems promising, yet some diners feel the menu lacks the wow factor it once had. Overall, Hapi remains a recommended spot for a satisfying meal, but diners may find inconsistency in the culinary experience compared to previous visits.

This restaurant is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or coffee and cake! I was a bit disappointed that the soft-serve machine was out of order on the day I visited, but I definitely plan on coming back. Review updated on September 20, 2022. View all feedback.
What Shannon Labadie dislikes about Hapi:
I love their drinks but not so many options. and it is not a health cafe. more meat options than vegan, and someone eating chicken drumsticks next to them if they drink their chai latte is not the best. Overall could do with something improvement. View all feedback.

The food is delicious. There are often delicate flavors and more small plates available.
We ate at their cafe and it was very crowded but you could see why. Their food is incredible they really focus on flavour and taste and everything we had was wonderful. Loved the ice cream the best because I love ice cream and it is not easy to get vegan soft serve. Update 2021 the cafe has moved and is now in the Chantal store so there is a lot more seating now which is great. Maybe their amazing chef has gone too though. The food was fine but not as amazing as I remembered. Not the same level of flavours and textures that wowed me last time and fewer interesting options. We had a salad with bean sprouts but couldn't finish it as it was just like eating a punnet of straight bean sprouts. We had some other items that were ok. The tempeh sandwich was pretty good and the ice cream was as great as I remembered. But overall Hapi seems to have lost the wow factor for me. Updated from previous review on 2021 03 13
I had a great time looking at all the options because this restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious vegan dishes. The staff helped me decide what to eat, and I ended up choosing a taco and a dessert for a total of $17. Both dishes were incredible, I would rate them 10/10! The portion sizes were generous for the price, and I can't wait to come back again soon. Update (28/11/22): I also tried the Mocha cheesecake and lemon cheesecake, both were fantastic. I stand by my previous review from 08/05/2022.
They have a big selection of vegan savory and sweets. Food is full of taste and they have a nice open kitchen vibe. They also sell nut cheese.
