Description

Hapi has garnered attention for its vibrant atmosphere and a menu that focuses on flavor, though patrons note a shift in excellence over time. While the café boasts a range of vegan options and delicious drinks, including a beloved vegan soft-serve, it falls short for those seeking extensive plant-based choices. The recent relocation to a larger space seems promising, yet some diners feel the menu lacks the wow factor it once had. Overall, Hapi remains a recommended spot for a satisfying meal, but diners may find inconsistency in the culinary experience compared to previous visits.

I tried a tester of vegan cheesecake at the farmers market which was great. So I bought a piece, but it was so bland and kinda gross.

Incredible chipotle tofu taco with homemade cashew cream cheese. Loads of other delicious looking sandwiches and cakes. Lovely!

This restaurant is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or coffee and cake! I was a bit disappointed that the soft-serve machine was out of order on the day I visited, but I definitely plan on coming back. Review updated on September 20, 2022.

The food is delicious. There are often delicate flavors and more small plates available.

We ate at their cafe and it was very crowded but you could see why. Their food is incredible they really focus on flavour and taste and everything we had was wonderful. Loved the ice cream the best because I love ice cream and it is not easy to get vegan soft serve. Update 2021 the cafe has moved and is now in the Chantal store so there is a lot more seating now which is great. Maybe their amazing chef has gone too though. The food was fine but not as amazing as I remembered. Not the same level of flavours and textures that wowed me last time and fewer interesting options. We had a salad with bean sprouts but couldn't finish it as it was just like eating a punnet of straight bean sprouts. We had some other items that were ok. The tempeh sandwich was pretty good and the ice cream was as great as I remembered. But overall Hapi seems to have lost the wow factor for me. Updated from previous review on 2021 03 13
