Reviews - Tracey's
Reviews summary
Tracey's restaurant in Munising offers top quality food with a cozy atmosphere and excellent service. While some reviewers found the prices to be a bit high and portions to be small, the overall dining experience, including the visually appealing and delicious food, was worth it. The staff were friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for a special occasion or a ladies getaway. The only minor complaints were the lack of recognition for special occasions and the choice of background music. Overall, Tracey's seems to be a must-visit destination for foodies in Munising.

Absolutely amazing food! Worth every penny! The staff was very friendly, the food was wonderful, the drinks were made as they should be, and it was an elegant place to sit down and enjoy a meal! We will definitely return on our next trip to the U.P. Weordered the Tuna Poke as an appetizer, the surf and turf for 2 as an entree and crème brûlée for dessert. My husband had themuni-hattan, I had a blueberry mojito. Superb in every way.
Came here to end our anniversary vacation and it did not disappoint! We ordered the house whipped ricotta and surf and turf for two and both agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had! I also appreciated the attention to little details like ourserver Marnie frequently clearing our dishes and bringing fresh plates and silverware, and the post card we got with our check. The atmosphere was charming and the staff was very friendly. Thank you for having us, we very much enjoyed our time!
We went to Tracey’s for our first dinner as a married couple on our honeymoon! Tracey’s gave us their best table and outstanding service—it was the best meal we’ve ever had, and we will truly cherish the memory for the rest of our lives!(Pictures don’t do the food justice—it was sensational!!
Tracey's at Roam Inn was amazing! We loved their distinguished atmosphere as well as our server's hospitality. We had the truffle Alfredo pasta as an appetizer and I would definitely recommend! The flavor and creaminess was perfect! For our maincourse we had the filet and it was the best thing I've ever tasted. All of the flavors melded together beautifully to create aplate that I will dream about for many lifetimes! The Yukon golden potatoes served with it were out of this world as well!Lastly, the Creme Brulee we had for dessert was exactly what you look for in a sweet treat! It was the best creme Brulee I'veever had! Thank you again to Tracey's for an unforgettable evening!
Excellent food and a welcome change while staying in town! We wanted some real food, not pizza or bar fare. Tracey's delivered with tasty small plates and a nice outdoor patio. One of the best meals I've had while traveling. Server was very friendly andhelpful too! Definitely recommend!

This restaurant is a gem. A special place that offers a variety of options for drinks/apps/dinner for everyone with top-notch service. Am very glad we found it and would highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: I am gluten-sensitive and the menu is well labeled for various GF and vegetarian options.
Only place open at 9pm that allowed a toddler. We were surprised, place was upscale and very friendly. Drinks were great. We had the fish and steak both were delicious. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic dinner! Service was excellent and food was very delicious. Hamburger was amazing. Loved the Brussel sprouts. Bar liquor selection was very good. Will definitely return when in the area.
Small plates were exemplary. Had the ricotta. Fried Brussels sprouts and potato chip Whitefish. Creme Brulee for dessert
Not what it once was. If you’re on a diet and have money to burn (which is not most of us) then I guess this place is for you. I’ve been here a number of times when visiting the area and previous to this visit (August 2024) the portions were generous and you left full even if it was a bit pricier. Not anymore. My mother in law ordered the white fish and literally it was 3 TINY pieces of fish with a light coating of potato chip crust-for $28! No sides. Nothing additional. Just 3 tiny pieces of fish. Give me a break. ? I ordered the ramen (which I had ordered before) and it was fully 1/3rd the size it had been in the past. TINY. Again for $22! As I write this my stomach is growling. It was a very small bowl of ramen and julienned veggies. Nothing additional. I watched another lady’s $18 salad come out and it was in a TINY bowl with a couple sprigs of lettuce. Ridiculous. Insulting. This is MUNISING not Bloomfield Hills. I’m sorry to say it appears they’re suckering in the tourists. Don’t fall for the trap. And don’t bring your kids as there is nothing really for them. Go down the road to Foggy’s-the food is much better, you leave full and you won’t break the bank.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered at this restaurant. We started with the loaded fingerling potatoes as an appetizer, which we split. My husband also had the whitefish chowder, which I ended up enjoying as well despite not usually liking fish. The surf turf was shared between us and it was excellent, with just the right amount of food. Even though there was fish included, I found myself enjoying it. Our drinks, unsweetened tea for me and two glasses of Merlot for my husband, were also fantastic. To end our meal, we had the creme brûlée, which was delicious. The interior of the restaurant is very nice, located on the first floor of a hotel, and the restroom was lovely as well.
The Roam Inn is a charming spot in Munising, perfect for a ladies getaway. Tracey's has a nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. However, the wine list could use more variety. Our server was the only experienced one that night, balancing multiple tables. The younger, inexperienced server seemed to avoid duties and ignored requests from customers, leading several tables to ask for a manager who was nowhere to be found. It appears that the summer rush will only increase, so staff may need some retraining.

I will definitely come back if I get a chance. This place exceeded our expectations. The Elk I tried was pricey (though it's so worth it), but they also provide less pricey options under $20. My friends also loved what they got (wagyu steak, tuna, and shrimp). I feel this place would survive even if it's in New York city. The food was so unique and flavorful!! The service was attentive and had terrific recommendations.
This place has a variety of options, both drinks and food is really interesting, with lots of things I've never had in quite those combinations. The price is worth it! Also, if the weather is nice go ahead and eat outside- you can see the lake over the hs. The service here is also brilliant- very fast, helpful, and competent.
The dinner was fantastic, and the service was exceptional, especially the young man who waited on us. The Pictured Rocks lemonade was delicious! Although a bit expensive, it was definitely worth it. This was one of the best meals of our trip. Be sure to try the blackened salmon!
Exceptional food and service. It was my 44th Anniversary Dinner, have had a summer home in the area for decades and hands down this place is FABULOUS. Arrived at 4p for cocktail hour and all mixed drinks were 1/2 off. Had a blue cheese stuffed olive martini and a smoky old fashion. Most small plates: smoked dill white fish dip and pesto spread on toast. Then a summer strawberry spinach salad and beef taco in yummy sauce. Topped it off with chocolate lava cake and fresh brew coffee ! The view over Lake Superior on the deck was awe inspiring on a hot sunny day. All for $102 as it has happy hour (3-5p). Highly recommended trying it! Posted the signage as some say it's difficult to find which is hilarious with google maps. Perused the menu and selected favorites which I would recommend as everyone like's something different.
Excellent choice for some fine dining in the U.P. To begin with, a fine wine selection to choose from. Had a nice bottle of Old Vine Zin to start with. Followed by Ahi tuna nachos. Brilliant to use sheets of Nori deep fried as the chip. It was very tasty for a starter. My beautiful wife had the lobster tail along with the Brussels sprout salad. She loved it. Tail on the small size. I told her to order 2. I had the steak special of the night Vintage style. Awesome dinner all around, especially for the U.P. Normally I would rate this experience 4 stars but for being in the U.P. it is definitely 5 stars amongst its peers. Definitely sit outside on the deck overlooking the bay.

If you want a good meal this is the place for you. Great food made fresh each day and deleasous drinks served in a beautifully decorated dinning room. I would have to recommend the bison lumpia. Meadow burger make sure add bacon and an egg and for dessert if you have room the home made ice cream.
Without a doubt this was the best meal I 've ever been served in the U.P. Everything from the tasteful décor and beautiful birdseye maple tables, to professional and caring servers was strikingly excellent. Then there was the food. The appetizers and entrees were something one would only see in a magazine. Not only was the presentation, seasoning, and preparation truly first class, every single ingredient was fresh. Portions were perfect, even for a glutton like me. I can 't remember the last time I ordered dessert. Last night though I had room and asked for the Campfire. Whew. I was already anticipating greatness when our server said it would take a few minutes. That could only mean built from scratch with fresh stuff. My only regret is having only five stars to give. We 'll be back.
It's expensive, and that's about the only thing you could really say bad about it. Even so, you get what you pay for, and believe me, it's worth paying for it! The excellent food everyone mentions, and there's no need to beat that dead, delicious horse. But not only is the food great, all the little details are nice too. The menus come on nice wooden clipboard printed on thick, quality paper, the drink coasters aren't tissues but thick fuzzy little coasters. The music is great, the seating is high quality wood... in fact lots of it is wood now that I think about it. Great food, great atmosphere, high quality restaurant that is worth the price.
The best meal we've ever had. We started with cheese curds followed by whitefish ravioli. Both were delicious beyond belief. We were so impressed with the food we decided to return the following night for desert. We chose the Spanish coffee. From the presentation to the last sip it was as phenomenal. Very, very pleased with everything about our visit
We were passing through Munising for our first anniversary trip, and we wanted to go somewhere relatively fancy. We stumbled upon this place when driving past it in the morning to go kayaking. It was so cozy and quaint! Seating was in separate rooms, which was different but nice so it wasn't all loud, like in a typical restaurant setting. Our waitress was a sweetheart, even named Traci! All in all a great experience for our anniversary, would definitely recommend!

Awesome food but for the first time I have a comment on the quality of the food. I ordered the crab stuffed chicken with lobster sauce. The sauce was excellent, it truly made up for the over cooked chicken breast that was hard on the bottom and dry. I really didn't get any crab taste from the stuffing. Loved the asparagus and the mashed potato. Whitefish chowder seemed a bit underdone, and very little whitefish in it but it was still good. Service was great as always. Thank you.
All around, really enjoyable! Staff, Service, food was great and I can speak for our party of four! Great job everyone
The atmosphere is nice, it was a quiet evening when we were there. If you like to leave a restuarnt feeling hungry then go to Tracy's. The portions were HIGHLY overpriced for what you get. There was three of us, with no alcohol, 3 glasses of water, 2 cups of hot tea, 1 order of crab cakes, 2 orders of Salmon spent $99.38 and we all left hungry. The food was good but not worth the price. And we like to eat out at nice restaurants often. Sadly, we would not return.
Food was excellent, we had the salmon and Brussel sprouts. Creme brûlée was great but expensive. Nicely done boutique restaurant.
My husband and I were celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary and they made us feel so very special. Not only was the food delicious and well presented, but they treated us to champagne and dessert. We especially enjoyed their whitefish entree. Their portion sizes were just right for our appetite. I hope to go back again soon.
