Es hat sich gelohnt, wir werden wegen der ausgezeichnete... read more Auf Empfehlung von Freunden haben wir das Restaurant Roecklplatz am gleichnamigen Roecklplatz getestet. Es hat sich gelohnt, wir werden wegen der ausgezeichneten Qualität der Speisen und dem lockeren Ambiente wieder kommen. Das Steak frites (Bavette) vom Lavagrill war ausgezeichnet - sehr zart und rosa. Der zugehörige Salat wird im Einmachglas serviert! Ebenso kreativ ist die Deko im Industrial-Design. Die Desserts sind hausgemacht und klein aber fein. Das Restaurant ist auch Ausbildungsbetrieb für benachteiligte Jugendliche. Ein super Gedanke, den wir gerne unterstützen. Ich vergebe die fünf Punkte aber nicht aus Solidarität mit dem guten Konzept, sondern wegen der Qualität des Essens!

We were somewhat disappointed with the prices but our hunger drove us in! Snitzel was Ravioli and noodle dishes were ?. And we...discovered it was totally worth it! There's no English menu, but they told us what we needed to know. We were the only non-locals there. The ravioli was filled with fig and walnut and ricotta, and it was out of this world. We really loved the broad noodles too with white and green asparagus and lots of parmesano cheese. I absolutely highly recommend!

It is popular with local families and young people which makes for a good relaxed atmosphere particularly outside in the summer. The well prepared food goes beyond the traditional German food...with a good range of choices including soups, salads, fish and meat dishes. It is a training restaurant and well overseen by the manager even when really busy as it was for one of the two nights we ate here. It was great to be here away from the touristy wurst, shnitzel, sauerkraut and beer places in the center, eating better food and feeling more part of the local community

The ambiance and service also contributed to a wonderful evening. We also appreciate Roeklplatz's social commitment as a training venue for refugees.
