I always take the family out to dinner when I am home for a visit. We almost always go to Oscar's but since Covid, Oscar's is only take away. So I researched for an alternate. Some places were over for Sunday lunch and since I was taking people I was not too thrilled. We decided to try the Greville (James Joyce Restaurant) and we were extremely happy with it. The hotel and staff are excellent. They couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. All members of staff were so polite. Definitely returning. Can't recommend this enough. View all feedback.
Had a nice stay here. it's a nice old building and I didn't know. I think more should be written/explained about the history of this magnificent building. rezeptionist was not very helpful, I didn't know how many stairs id to climb our room. the rooms are very dated and need to refurbish, perhaps the prices have to rise to finance them? the breakfast was good, but in no fan of buffets, as I like freshly cooked eggs. the bar next door (connected to the hotel) was amazing steve the barmann very friendly. brilliantly placed in the middle of the city. free parking a bonus. overall a good stay.
I just wanted an breakfast. friendly and quick service. a good breakfast.
Beautiful hotel, personal were beautiful the food was nice it is a really old hotel, so there is no elevator.
Stayed here last Friday night, the rooms are a bit dated the corner of the window looked like it wasn't cleaned in months, the toilet wasn't able to flush if the toilet seat cover was up, there was a crack in plastic surround around the bath, the bath bath was clean but it had gone a little discolored, the shower mat was very discolored and when the shower curtain was closed the controls of the shower were on the outside. Now for the good points. The staff at reception were very nice, Stephen in the bar was great, I had the soup and the beef burger and they were amazing and it came with a big portion of chips. The breakfast was great I can't remember when I had a breakfast as good as it. And the location is perfect right in the middle of the town. Overall it was good just left down by a few things in the room.
Had an amazing weekend at the Greville Arms hotel Mullingar. Location is right in the centre of town. Food top class. Only draw back is the rooms they really could do with a revamp.
