OK the place was empty and lacking atmosphere as a result. yes we were nervous but it was late with few options so we ordered. And we were delighted...the food was simply fantastic....every course...could ask for more. Great views from the verandah to.On our way out we grabbed coffees from the Garage downstairs.....also very good. View all feedback.

I ate at the Whitt in 2016, the staff were lovely and the food was delicious and came in large servings. With the unfortunate seasonal changing of the guard, the Whitt is not the same restuarant in 2017 that it was 12 months ago. Obscure and likely known only to locals, this hidden gem has become our daily go-to spot for delicious coffee. Although they offer a nice selection of food, we never have enough time to stay and try it out.
The food was excellent, and the service was friendly. The appetizers were delicious, and the children's portions were generous enough to share between two kids.
We visited Coffee Garage on Easter Sunday during the mountain's Easter weekend festival. The festival claimed to have a great program with plenty of activities for the whole family, but we found it to be lacking. Only two cafes were open and The Whitt had limited activities. Despite the large number of customers, the staff managed to handle the pressure well and served us delicious coffee and snacks quickly. We enjoyed the location, view, and the cozy fire in the front, which was perfect for warming up our hot cross buns.
The Whitt (as the Ski Club of Victoria is known) is ideally located on the main ski slope of Mt Buller. It has a wonderful alpine atmosphere, great staff and the best food on the mountain. Recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner or just after a ski drink at the bar. The “coffee garage” at Whitt is also a great place for a fast espresso, hot chocolate or snack.
The atmosphere is great open fire, noisy and terrific! Staff extra pleasant and helpful. You can choose from restaurant or bar menu, so lots of choice. The grandchildren loved the pizza and particularly the 'deconstructed spaghetti bol ' with extra cheese and garlic bread she was in heaven. Fish of the day delicious and other meals equally good. Desserts magical ice cream and topping for the children and puds for the adults. A great night. Don 't forget to book!
