newly renovated and renovated, but average food and extremely over price. $36 for a parma, that was stone cold, $28 for a vegetarian gnocchi, where the pumpkin did not boil properly and was hard. fire alarm went out in the middle of our meal times and everyone was asked to finish it outside, had to sit outside and finish meal times that was unpleasant in view of the minimal protection against snow and meal quickly co... Terrible service, personal completely in the interest of customers. Eating was just okay. served cold chips we had to send back. cleanliness of the toilets was appalling. I've been coming to mt buller for 28 years, unfortunately I've come to dinner last time.
Terrible customer service when you ask for extra tomatoes and they say no.. how hard is it to add tomatoes?? Nor would they do a Parma with no ham!? Food was **** too. If the kids say ‘this is not a good Parma’. Or, ‘the fish is bad’ You know it’s bad. Worst thing was customer service. The lady with long straight hair and baggy hat, who served the food and I mentioned one of the dishes was burned really cracked it, raised her voice saying ‘well, what do you want to do!?’ I said just a refund on my burnt Parma thanks. I feel as though she’s shouldn’t be in hospitality. Her manager came to assist and did a much better job. Finally, the claw game didn’t work properly...read more
A super convenient pub in the Village. Not the place to go to for ambience and gets super crowded for dinner especially in peak season they don't take reservations) but a nice country pub nonetheless. Food was better than expected the pastas were good, the Mexican chili was tasty, as were the burgers. The brisket loaded fries sweet potato fries were our winners.
Half decent snitty... Just watch out if the girl behind the counter forgets to give you a table number or else the albino surfboard 'Madz ' will be on your case. You think the Holocaust was a crime against humanity? Apparently this pales in comparison judging by the daggers she gives you as she dumps the meals and has a go at your wife. I wouldn 't have thought it would be that hard to figure out who wasn 't eating when you have 4 tables occupied on a Monday night and 3 already have their meals... must be hard having 3 x hipster bums running the joint. Owner might want to check in once in a while. Having ran a few restaurants in my time I 'd be ashamed to have these persons representing my...read more
My boyfriend and I visited Mt Buller in the off peak season heading into September. On a Monday night after skiing all day we were exceptionally hungry for some filling food that wouldn't blow the budget. After a recommendation from friends to visit the Black Cockatoo we went there only to find it was so over priced with a limited menu and so we hot footed it to the Kooroora Hotel that was alive and buzzing. We ordered the burger/fries and lamb curry (mild). Both were good sized portions and prices reasonable. The atmosphere here was great with people playing pool, socialising and watching the large screen with music playing. Both adults and children were welcome.
