A bad day for the c... read more Have been back to this Cafe 3 times for Monk Dish. Extraordinary the first two times, hence back for third. However, third a disappointment. A bad day for the chef?Similar with the Coconut Sago Pudding. Will return again with hope that that was a one off.Great atmosphere, great brewed chai too, and very lovely garden for a pleasant day. Can get crowded and busy so booking may help to avoid disappointment.

I understand at busy times things can get hectic for staff but the young waitresses we had seemed really annoyed that paying customers turned up. The majority of us ordered the soup with bread & only a small amount of bread was provided. But the strangest thing was we were told that we won't get anymore bread as they were running low and 'other' customers needed bread. We were surprised as one person completely missed out and the others only got the small hard ends. Considering we were paying customers I'm not sure why we had to ration our bread. Not enough bread for other customers? Then maybe don't sell anymore.
