Delicious food, friendly staff, great breakfast. If we love whiskey, we have to stop here. A whiskey selection that is unparalleled even in Scotland. The evening in the pub was enjoyable. Rooms are okay, location on the street is mediocre. But all in all it was quite pleasant. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4

A Google recommendation and an excellent one to boot the Highlander Inn pride themselves, quite rightly, on having an extensive range of whiskies from across Scotland and Japan, including quite a number of travel exclusives and local distillery collabs. We had a brilliant range of whiskies while we waiting for our dinner, several recommended by our waiter; all of them were delicious and very reasonably priced. Dinner was fantastic the steak and the chicken burger are definitely recommended.

The same waitress who took our reservation warm... read more We decided to dine at The Highlander on the final night of our vacation and made a reservation the night before. The same waitress who took our reservation warmly greeted us when we arrived. Our table was prepared and we received excellent service throughout our meal. It was refreshing to be taken care of by a staff member with a lot of personality. The menu was thoughtfully curated and the portion sizes were just right. Our experience at The Highlander was incredibly positive and memorable in every way. We would definitely dine there again. Great job!
