From check-in too departure I found the staff friendly, efficient and carried out their duties with the utmost professionalism. My room was well laid out, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The evening dinner was delicious and after completing my breakfast order and time selected the night before, my breakfast was served to my table with perfect timing. I would certainly recommend the Laichmoray Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Elgin or surrounding area. I for one will make it my first destination the next time I'm in Elgin.

Stayed here for one night before a hospital appointment at Dr Gray's as it is a short 20 minute walk from the hotel. It is across the road from the railway stat... read more Stayed here for one night before a hospital appointment at Dr Gray's as it is a short 20 minute walk from the hotel. It is across the road from the railway station and from the Ember bus stop which made it easy to get too. Entering the hotel you had to walk up several stairs and then was met a reception by welcoming and lovely team members who went over where restaurant and bar was and how to fill out breakfast card for morning. A short walk to my room which looked to have been decorated fairly recently. Ensuite, king-size bed, desk, chair TV comfy seat, wardrobe with sliding doors where you can find kettle, tea and coffee, a window that opened and a radiator that you could operate to have the room temperature at what you desired. Eve meal in the restaurant was fabulous with excellent team members. Best night sleep I've had in a hotel in a long time Can't comment on breakfast as I couldn't have any die to hospital appointment. Check out was simple and again friendly team members. Would definitely Saturday here again as a base for when I'm the Elgin area.
