Got there early (5.30pm) on Saturday night as I only wanted a quick dinner before an early night at the motel in preparation for a 7am departure on the dive boat on Sunday morning. Plenty of people already there. I've been to Mooloolaba a few times now since moving to Brisbane from interstate. What User doesn't like about Hog's Breath Cafe:
The restaurant wasnt that busy and well staffed. However it took ages for us yo be seated and our initial order to be taken. Staff were confused and twice brought us the wrong order. The meal was just ok but experience disappointing. View all feedback.
We ordered the Caesar salad and a steak with prawns. The eggs in the salad were grey and obviously old and the steak looked oily, grey and microwaved. Honestly we aren’t fussy people and never send food back but this food was appalling. However the...service was great! I hate to say it but we won’t be back
We normally enjoy it here, but on the day is was very disappointing. To start our kids meals came out as we waited about for our adult meals which was not enjoyable due to the kids been bored waiting for us to eat, the...meals were horrible, the ranch salad was pretty much just hard Lettice with a bit of onion, cheese, piece of thin rubbery chicken breast sitting on top, as was the ceaser salad. We left all on our plate, staff did not seem to care, we ordered a few cocktails to enjoy with our meals, but we waiting so long that it was about after we finishes eating our drinks came out, not good enough, while trying to enjoy our meals we also had to stand on a couple of cockroaches running under our table as we were right next to the kitchen, not the time this has happened in this restaurant. The floors were absolutely filthy we were there when they opened at lunch so we could only assume no cleaning was done the previous night or in the morning, out table was sticky dirty so we wiped it down ourselves. Not sure if they were understaffed or the staff were just too young to care, but the service was so bad slow, we will not be back. In these covid times or any times, a restaurant should be clean tidy. i feel if inspectors came in on the day we were there it would be shut down

Very poor lamb shank, can’t even cut it. There was literally no seasoning on the vegetables. L would not recommend it for sure.
The hogs breath Mooloolaba the staff are really friendly and The meals are great! It is great atmosphere!
