Plenty of people already there. I've been to Mooloolaba a few times now since moving to Brisbane from interstate. It's hard to find a reliably good meal in any of the local cafes and eateries so I thought I'd go with a known chain this time. Plenty of parking. Sat outside with a lovely view. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The salad was nice, the veges not overcooked with some crunch left in them, the steak was cooked to order and the 6 calamari on top were plump, tender and delicious. The meal took about 10mins to arrive after ordering. It's going to be my regular Mooloolaba eatery now.

Staff were confused and twice brought us the wrong order. The meal was just ok but experience disappointing.

We had a few minutes... read more We stopped at the Mooloolaba Hogs Breath for lunch on Saturday at 2pm. It looked like they'd been busy as there were a lot of dirty tables. We had a few minutes to wait while they sorted a clean table. Very shortly after we sat we were asked for our order. So far, so efficient. Unfortunately when the kids meals arrived, one was wrong, so that went back and we had a wait while it was rectified. Our adult meals arrived, which were very tasty and good value from the lunch menu, but the Byron Bay chilli was forgotten, so we had to flag down a staff member to sort that. All want well, good food, until we had to flag down another staff member to get the kids ice cream. Then we had another 10 minute wait before flagging down staff again to find our where the ice cream was. Overall food was great, service could've been better, however the way the management handled it when we mentioned it was excellent. We'll probably go there again, think we just caught them at an off moment.

I travel a lot and in the past... read more We visit Mooloolaba Hogies a few times each year, and it’s usually very good, but tonight our steaks were the best I've ever had. I travel a lot and in the past couple of years, I've been to seven different Hogies. At some locations, they don't grill the prime rib sufficiently, which affects the flavor since it’s important for some of the fat to melt. Occasionally, I've encountered too much gristle (the last time was in Newcastle, but I must commend them for only charging me half price without any fuss). Tonight's meal was flawless, and as someone who has dined frequently for 22 years, it takes a lot to impress me. Additionally, it was a birthday dinner, which meant it was free. If you're not a Frequent Diner, you’re missing out; for about $20, you get a 25% discount on your main meal for life, plus a free meal on your birthday (I’ve already gotten two meals for free with my card). It was a fantastic night out!
