We have been here for dinner many times now. It is my "go-to" restaurant on the southern Sunshine Coast. The menu is great, the food is always of a very high standard and they have a good drinks menu. The menu has changed which was fine but we were there during the week a few days prior to this visit and both times the curry was below standard and made differently each time in comparison to old menu. Calamari was very fried and small again different from a few days ago and both gnocchi was tasteless and had little flavour in them. Fish was recommended to us by the hotel we are staying at and certainly did not disappoint. Ambience is lovely staff is attentive . The mussels were a simple dish in a simple tomato sauce , fresh and delicious. My partner had the risotto, which i tasted and that was excellent. I had the signature dish, the snapper and to be honest probably the best snapper dish I have ever had . What I didn’t understand was the M/P price on the menu. I can understand M/P if it was lobster or caviar, but its snapper , how much could the price fluctuate by $2? Perhaps M/P is to do with labour costs on the night. So, is a fancy snapper, no matter how delicious worth $83 ? You be the judge.
This dish is outstanding! Ocean Trout Confit. Everything is full of flavours and different layers. Didn’t expect that. Very satisfied. Happy lunch.
All the dishes were absolutely delicious, excellent service and when a mistake was made, they recovered very well. We will definitely be returning and I would suggest to book
Staff were friendly. Food we had was well presented and absolutely delicious; whole snapper and the shiitake mushroom and cheese fritta... yum! Vegetarian options available too! Lots of drink choices. Don't forget dessert...
