During dinner time, there are always a lot of cars parked in front of this restaurant. Intrigued, I decided to visit one evening to see what all the buzz was about.
I have just moved to the area and thought I'd try this place out as it's now within a stones throw of where I live. I ordered Barramundi and chips to go for my son and I. When we got home and unwrapped our 'meal' I was blown away. I've never seen a piece of fish so small. It looked like a fat overweight whiting!!But it didn't stop there. When cut open it was bone dry, I mean BONE DRY and crumbled like cheese! It was also grey/pink in colour (see photo). It was like no piece of fish Ive ever had (thank god!) or tasted. It was awful! My son is not one of these fussy children and will usually eat anything (except mushrooms lol) but he flatly refused to eat his. He said it looked like a Hash Brown and he was right. It is the first time in his 9yrs of age that he has refused to eat something.I can only assume this fish (at least I think it was fish) had been frozen for a long long time...........like years. That is exactly what it was like, something that has been frozen for a long LONG time. Tasteless, off colour, dry......yuk!There is an abundance of other fish restaurants in this area and I would highly recommend people go to one of those. ANY could do better than this. Oh.....service was slow too. Spend your money elsewhere....You've been warned lol
My friends and I visited this restaurant on Thursday, May 25th at around 6:30 pm. We have been here a few times in the past few years. Unfortunately, our experience this time was disappointing. We were the only customers at the counter, but the server completely ignored us while on the phone. Even after she finished her call, she did not acknowledge us or apologize for the wait. A young man eventually took our order after a long period of being ignored. The customer service was just awful, and we do not plan on returning.
1st visited in 1977 when my now husband and I started dating. For our 38th Wedding Anniversary we decided to reminisce. Very good selection of seafood, quick delivery of order, plenty of seating overlooking the river. Chips very fresh, and prawns delicious. Not overly expensive.
