This restaurant's menu changes fairly frequently and usually has specials on. Bacon wrapped dates (or figs) seem to be a constant though and they're delicious. They do fish dishes particularly well. It's a block from main street but easy to get to.

What a great place! This is a cozy little place that instantly feels like home when you arrive. The food was fantastic and made in house which is such a wonderful departure from the norm of reheating distributor products from Sysco or Shamrock. The chef’s touch is evident and the love for the food comes across load and clear. The devils on horseback were a particularly good appetizer, and the pork tenderloin entree was top notch. Bridget was our server, and her friendly and capable service complimented the meal perfectly. We will definitely make this a destination when in Moab in the future.

Excellent, attentive service, beautiful place with relaxing music. The food was outstanding, but the chicken sausage appetizer ruined the perfection—the polenta was completely tasteless, and the sauce, which was overpowered by the taste of rosemary, couldn’t save it. The sausage itself was good, but lacking salt, but when you pay $22 and tell the server you’re sharing, you would think they would at least give you two pieces! We had to share one piece the size of a half dollar. The homemade bread which was a free starter was warm, soft, and delicious. Out of the trio of toppings, I loved the honey butter and tapenade but would replace the balsamic vinaigrette with something else. If you’re not going to use the real deal from Italy, just serve seasoned first-cold-pressed olive oil. There was something bitter about that dip. Was it even the highest quality olive oil?All was redeemed on our entrees, however. The Marsala and mushroom homemade pasta had so much umami, I wanted to lick the plate. The bison tenderloin was cooked to perfection, maybe too many capers in the sauce, and too much char on the baby asparagus, but with the mushrooms and roasted fingerling potatoes, it was tender and delectable. With these prices though, I’m not sure if I would go back. Other tables were ordering the bison empanada appetizer, so that was probably the way to go. I just couldn’t bring myself to get a $22 empenada when I can get the best ones in NYC for 3 bucks. With tax and tip and no dessert or drinks, it was $155. When you pay that price, there shouldn’t be any mistakes.

I wish I could give Desert Bistro a 6 out of 5. This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, and I've visited some incredible restaurants worldwide. The service was impeccable—Eric, our waiter, was attentive, friendly, and ensured our drinks were never empty while keeping everything neat. The ambiance was fantastic; we enjoyed sitting on the shaded back patio with side screens and heaters for cooler weather. The menu was outstanding. The agnolotti pasta was exceptional—imagine Italian mushroom pasta combined with ramen broth, creating an amazing blend of flavors that quickly became everyone's favorite. The Gorgonzola-crusted tenderloin was perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful sauce. The market fish, an Australian variety I can't quite recall, was fabulous, complemented perfectly by a caper lime cilantro sauce. The highlight was certainly the seared Hawaiian ahi tuna, flown in on ice. Having tried ahi in Hawaii and elsewhere, I can confirm this was incredibly fresh and top quality with that deep purple color only the best have. The appetizer’s presentation was stunning, easily worth over $35, with meticulous details like the perfectly shaped wasabi. The flavor was flawless—the ginger-infused rice, sauce, herb garnishes, and wontons all came together beautifully. This meal surpassed many Michelin-starred experiences we've had. I must also praise the house-made bread and olive spread, both simply fantastic. We ended with the triple chocolate cheesecake, a rich and indulgent dessert balanced perfectly with fresh fruit and subtle mint. Desert Bistro delivered a flawless menu and an unforgettable dining experience.

The service and food at Desert Bistro were flawless! Although they were cautious about serving someone with celiac disease due to their small kitchen and the risk of cross-contamination, our server Derek did an excellent job communicating with the chef and informing me about safe options on the menu. The food was the best I’ve ever had. I tried the pork tenderloin with apple chutney, and the sauce was so delicious I finished every drop and would definitely buy it if it were available. They ensured I was well taken care of, and I didn’t get sick. Desert Bistro’s menu and quality make it well worth the experience and price.
