Description

Nestled near the Orpheum, this restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere and a blend of pub fare. While praised for its friendly service and good wings, patrons have noted inconsistent menu availability and service challenges, particularly crowded situations. Families may encounter restrictions, as the establishment may not welcome underaged guests. Despite mixed reviews on food quality, diners appreciate its convenient location for a pre-show meal and drinks. With reasonable prices and a laid-back local vibe, it’s a suitable spot for casual dining, especially for sports fans and theater-goers. Overall, it remains a popular choice for quick bites and gatherings.

On a warm summer day in July, I stopped in for a soft drink and decided to have an order of tater tots to bide my time. Many years ago, I dropped by this pub and was received bad treatment from an overworked bartender. The staff this time around were very respectful and genuinely welcoming. I seems to be a very low-key pub-like atmosphere and has a fair menu of food and extensive list of alcoholic and THC libations and concoctions. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

Love going here before seeing shows or attending games. Great selection of beer, cider, and liquor. The food is quite good for a pub. The jerk pork tacos were amazing. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant when a server rudely shoved me aside without offering any explanation. The place was crowded, and I was uncertain about where to position myself, but rather than kindly guiding me, the server just pushed me out of the way. There are far more courteous ways to manage a situation like this—like asking if I needed assistance finding a seat or explaining where the servers pick up food and drinks. It's simply unacceptable to physically push someone, regardless of your size or height advantage. Customer service should always be characterized by care and respect.

MacKenzie's in Minneapolis boasts the best wings in town. They use top-quality wings that are smoked to perfection, yielding flavorful and tender bites. The menu features a variety of sauces to choose from, with my personal favorites being the Habanero BBQ and Buffalo. Don't forget to try their incredible fancy fries – they are absolutely fantastic!
