The highlight for me was actually the pickled cabbage that is served with the papusas- so fresh and light and balances the richness of the papusas. Service was very prompt and friendly. My only complaint was that there was an air freshener being used that was pretty strong- though I'm pretty sensitive to this sort of thing and most people probably wouldn't notice. The vibe was fun with great music. Let me just say that the majority of the food was very good, but thepupusas were amazing. I?ve been to El Salvador, and the pupusas tasted the same!

Each... read more Abi's is a true gem on Lyndale and definitely worth a visit! Although there were many tempting large-plate dishes, I opted for the 3-for-$12 pupusas combo. Each pupusa was delicious, and I highly recommend trying the loroco pupusa! It made for a satisfying and hearty lunch. The staff were friendly, offering excellent recommendations and providing prompt, consistent service. A week prior, they seemed to have some staffing challenges, but those were clearly resolved by the time of my visit. I hope Abi's stays around for a long time—I’m eager to try more of their menu soon.
