DeRoy is a fantastic bartender and extremely helpful! I adore his personality and kindness. His sense of humor is also enjoyable. When I called ahead to pre-order my Lobster Mac and Cheese because the kitchen was closing soon, he was extremely accommodating. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and the attentive staff at this restaurant. However, I made a mistake by ordering the Lobster poutine for $23. Although it came with a generous amount of fries and melted cheese with bits of Lobster, it was supposed to have cheese curds which were missing. Friday, July 15, 2022 Stopped with my wife to have a cocktail. We got there at about 6pm. My goodness! The place was absolutely packed, we got the only table open, near the pull tab booth. Correction, the cardboard crack booth! Not sure, but I think thereare about a thousand bras fastened to the ceiling. Maybe the ladies get a free drink in exchange for their bra, I don?t reallyknow. We did enjoy our short time there. Great drinks.
DeRoy is an excellent Bartender and very helpful! I love his personality and kindness. His humor is fun too. He was great when I called to ask if I could pre order my Lobster Mac and Cheese because the kitchen was closing soon. Upon my arrival he was verycordial and provided prompt service for the remainder of the evening. He even walked me out the door and made sure I got to myvehicle safely. THANK YOU DEROY! Smack Shack at the 1029 Bar is good food! Don't let the tacky appearance of this dive bar fool you!
I love the idea of a dive bar serving lobster! The food at this restaurant is fantastic, especially the dishes with lobster. I have always enjoyed my meals here and the buffalo wings are incredible. I follow a keto diet, so I always go for the Lobster Arugula salad.
I really enjoyed the outdoor patio and overall atmosphere of this restaurant. The interior has a dive bar vibe. They offer karaoke on Wednesday through Saturday nights. The service was excellent. The Smack Wings with homemade blue cheese dressing were delicious. They had a nice kick to them without being too overwhelming. I highly recommend trying the Spiced Stormy cocktail. There is a free parking lot connected to the bar. I will definitely be returning!
