Breadsmith - Milwaukee

I could visit Breadsmith every day. My favorite item is the Mandel Muffins, especially when they are fresh! The hours listed on the website are a bit off (it said open on Sundays, but they were closed when I arrived), but I'm willing to overlook it because the food is amazing. I will definitely be returning often!

Pretty decent bread, but quite expensive. I would get bread here again as a treat for me, but I wouldn't go regularly

I am a frequent customer at this bakery and absolutely love their bread, it is the best I have ever tasted! However, on a recent Sunday I arrived just 8 minutes late due to traffic and the staff at the branch was not accommodating. They refused to serve me even though they were still open, which I found to be very unpleasant and rude. I left feeling very dissatisfied and ended up driving to the Whitefish Bay branch, which was almost 5 miles away and then back home, adding an extra 8 miles to my trip. I would suggest that this location in downtown and the main branch, which closes at 2pm, not be recommended for those who may have timing constraints.

We frequently visit BreadSmith, which is one of our favorite bakeries. We absolutely love their scones and breads - you can't go wrong with any of them!

Outstanding breads at a really great price point. Always have tasted very fresh. They have a style of a sort of more baked outer layer, that isn't hard, and just perfectly chewy. Not sure what that's called or a better way to describe it, but it's really great, and you should try them if you haven't.
