Good Asian cuisine, but the delivery time leaves much to be desired. Update 01/31/22: I wrote my first review of this restaurant nearly three years ago. Unfortunately, over time, the quality has declined significantly, and the food has become quite bland. Have been ordering from Corner House for years whenever I visit the grandparents in Midleton. Myself and my Nana are gluten free and they have always been superb- they have never made a mistake with our food and are able to tailor menu items so we can have more choice. I am now also a vegetarian and they were happy to change things further for me. Popped in over the weekend without calling ahead as I was passing by and they were incredibly fast with our order. The lady at the desk even gave me an up to date menu and circled everything they could do GF which I think was especially lovely given that they were clearly incredibly busy, phone ringing off the hook! Everything was delicious as usual- Nana was raving about the prawn chow mein. It’s clear that they use high quality ingredients and portions are very generous- you’ll have plenty of leftovers! The team are so friendly and lovely and I genuinely look forward to Corner House takeaway as a staple of my visits to Midleton.
We ordered chicken chow mein. It was a little surprising to find mushrooms, carrot and broccoli in it! There was a generous amount of chicken just not quite what we expected.
The 4-in-1 dish at Corner House was disappointing. The king prawn was rubbery and hard to chew, the chips tasted a bit stale, and while the sauce had a nice flavor, its consistency was overly thick and gloopy.
The service at Corner House is outstanding, and the food is delicious.
We always enjoy ordering takeout from this restaurant. The food is reliably tasty and always exceeds our expectations.

Gone downhill I always collect our order and we are constantly waiting when we go at collection time might as well just arrive a give order. Last two trips food was lukewarm at best and when the lady takes your order all you get is cash only ???
Really good Chinese food! Although they are a bit far from Midleton, they offer delivery. Super fast service and delicious meals!
The food here is incredible, unmatched anywhere in Cork. Having lived in London for 20 years, I can honestly say this remains one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to.
The food is fantastic and the service is outstanding; Sue and Sky are consistently warm and professional. My sister-in-law, who is Asian, says this is the most authentic Asian cuisine in Cork.
Excellent service, welcoming staff, and delicious food. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure every customer leaves happy.
