What Alabaster Sky doesn't like about Brownstone Cafe:
This restaurant is ok, but definitely not great. Some of the entrees are flavorless. The grated cheese for pasta is like chalk. I don't think there is ANY cheese in it. For Middletown, it's considered very good, but coming from Philadelphia, where we had great food all over, it's just ok. The waitresses are great, though, so that is a help. What a cool place. We stopped in for a work lunch today. It was clean and busy for good reason. I had chicken fried steak with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and sawmill gravy. FANTASTIC. Huge portions too. Exactly what I wanted. My coworkers got the stuffed pepper and he said it was great. Reasonable prices for very good food. We will definitely be back

It's a diner in an old bank! Foods not that great, it's very plastic tasting.
Food is good, but as a person who needs gluten free, I had maybe two options.
