We ate in Fontebecci four times this winter. I don't know why we haven't eaten there more often because the food is excellent. Next year we will. It is a small café that specialises in Mediterranean dishes, only open for breakfast and lunch. The owner... is also the cook, and that may explain the care and attention to every dish. He really knows how to make the most of the ingredients he uses. They have very good salads that are not common in Merida. Fontebecci is not a pizza cake, but the one time I had pizza there, it was very tasteful – and the pepperoni was cut thick enough to add a good taste of the delicious sauce, cheese and crust. You have a regular menu and a “menu of the day” that offers several options, with drink and cure with vegetable and pasta sides. It would be a value too much more than the 55 pesos that is calculated. They are on call 57 between 62 and 64, but the owner told me today that after mid-May they will be in call 74A #441A) between 39 and 41. You will have a wood stove in the new place. It will be interesting to see if it is possible to pack even more taste in its food with the new oven. The food is the reason to eat here, but the very pleasant and friendly man speaks English) and woman owner, and waiter also speaks English) make it even more beautiful.
