Estacion 74 is the location for a weekly gathering of foreign visitors and residents of the Merida area. It's a great little spot with great coffee, yummy breakfast snacks, especially the strawberry Nutella crepes! The only drawback to this spot is that it tends to be very noisy when a group of 200 or so people gather and talk!! The place is constructed of concrete block and has absolutely NO redeeming sound qualities, like most Mexican buildings!! Other than that, it's a fun little spot to sip coffee and visit.

Too tired from exploring to wander far from our AirBnB, we found that most eating spots in our neighborhood are closed in the evenings and chose Estacion 74 by default. This turned out not to be a problem, as the food menu, while limited, features something for everyone (except perhaps those on a keto diet). We all tried something different, and all the choices were excellent. Unfortunately, they left no room for dessert, so we will have to go back at another time to sample the carrot cake, brownies, and obviously-calorie-laden holiday drink specialties. Having missed lunch, we arrived just after they reopened at 6 PM, which turned out to be a good thing. By the time we finished our meal, there were people waiting to get in, seemingly all locals. The cafe is tiny, so the claustrophobic may want to order take-out.

Estacion 74 is AMAZING!!!! Excellent coffee and smoothies!!!!! Food is very fresh and good too. Owner is so friendly and makes you feel right at home. Have been here several times in the month of January!!!!

Nothing fancy about this out of the way place. But if you 're in that area, this a sweet, cozy place to have a cup of coffee including espresso drinks. The barista was very friendly. And given the overall lack of good coffee in Merida, we considered this a find.

Really good coffee at local, non-tourist prices in a neighborhood away from the tourist mainstream . No eggs for breakfast, but good crepes. They have a few tables and chairs. This small shop is attractive and comfortable.
