I am very sad to say it was a waste of... read more With all the great reviews and the fact that it is located minutes from my house, I decided it was time to give it a try. I am very sad to say it was a waste of time and money. I went in and was the only client (not all that odd for a restaurant in Mexico for the time of day they eat lunch later). I ordered to go. I ordered the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos. Living minutes away I had no fear of the food being cold before I got home. However, I was wrong. the french fries were not just a little cold the were ice-box cold! After trying one of them the rest went into the trash. The fist tacos were small chopped pieces of the local fish, called mero. it is not a very interesting fish but just about all you can get in a local restaurant in Merida. Normally it would have cheese on it but I ordered it without cheese. I really do not think it would have made any difference in the taco it was tasteless and on dried-out tacos, for pesos (about USD) The shrimp tacos came with the bad fries, raw onions on the side and a small amount of guacamole. The Guacamole was good but it is hard to go wrong with guacamole if you keep it simple. The tacos shells' for the fist were dried out but the ones for the shrimp were like chewing on rubber. they were hard and obviously old. This was priced at or about USD WAY over priced! Maybe this is a place to go and drink and not really care about the quality of food but as for a restaurant they need to improve and stop serving such poor quality or close the restaurant part and just serve drinks. DO NOT WAST YOUR TIME OR MONEY. It is yet another second (or rate seafood restaurant in beautiful Merida, Yucatan.
