Los Almendros which is located in the same hotel as Chili's. the Hyatt across the street has a...couple of good restaurants. my recommendation is to walk to Paseo Montejo and try some local food..... much better option than anything you will eat at Chili's

We arrived a bit early for a Sunday lunch to an uncrowded Chili´s . That soon changed. Our server arrived promptly but was annoying because...he kept hovering while we were deciding what to order. Once we did decide, service was prompt . As is often the case at Chili´s, it can be difficult to tell who your waiter really is due to so many different ones appearing. The food itself, was OK. My companion ordered one variety of chicken salad and did have a ¨where´s¨ the chicken complaint. It was difficult to locate! I had one of my favorite things at Chili´s a hamburger. They have excellent hamburgers which can be difficult to find in Merida. And at times, I just crave a good burger. We enjoyed our meal for awhile but as the restaurant got busier it turned into a not very relaxing but chaotic scene. We had the hostess running around screaming and a man with walkie talkie (not the manager) around barking orders. Chaos. Decided to pass on the after lunch sweet and get out as quickly as posssible. Then it got interesting. We had a discount coupon, which the waiter forgot to apply. Not the first time for that at Chili´s for that problem so I was alert. But we got that worked out. I stood to take money from my pocket for the tip while my companion remained seated. At this time, while I was standing, the manager seated someone in my chair! And another person in another. I looked at him with a questioning look and said, ¨rude¨. His response, a shake of his head and ¨no,no¨and he quickly walked off. Needless to say, with this style of management, we won´t return to this location. But Chili´s does have locations in Merida with competent management. Go if you want but don´t stand until you are ready to leave your table!

I at... read more We go to Chilis every Sat morning for breakfast and I love their chiliquiles. This time we both had the dish and it was terrible. The chips were all soggy. I ate a few then called the manager and complained. They had a new cook....I refused another dish. We returned the following day and ordered the same. The manager had done his job. The chiliquiles were the best we've ever had. Management here is very proactive and the food and service is always great (with that one exception). Highly recommended
