Place is spectacular. Amenities are spectacular. Rooms are impeccable. Common areas are impeccable. The person that checked me in went above and beyond and gave me the list of everything happening in the hotel which is very beneficial because I travel and could miss out on things that are happening that I would participate in. I will note that the sound barriers are not that great. I could hear people drying their ha... View all feedback.
What Kenny Klein doesn't like about Melville Marriott Long Island:
Preet at the front desk is not very helpful. He charged my personal card because it would have “taken longer” to charge my company card. Meanwhile there was no line, and I did not indicate that I was in any kind of rush. I had time to do this right. Now I have to spend more time adjusting the charge on my end. Awful. Convenient location off 495 but can’t share much more that’s positive about our stay. After a long day of travel, we ate at the restaurant, The Great Room. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers and our drinks never arrived. We ordered 2 glasses of water and 2 root beers. We have spoken to our waitress 3xs now. We’re tired and hungry and this sucks. Bar tenders have a full bar and moving so slowly. I’m boiling…
Premier full service hotel with a lot of room, food choices and in a good location.
This is a very good hotel, the people here are very nice and the staff here is also very friendly and there is a lot of cleanliness etc. There is a lot of greenery here. The breakfast is not that good. But it will do. It is medium and I found the rest very good. The open air, fresh air, it is very good to walk. I am happy to see this hotel!
I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a wedding block and I will absolutely never return. The front desk staff is clueless. We never received turndown that we asked for. The hot water on our floor was broken. Worst of all, they checked in new guests and GAVE THEM KEYS TO OUR ROOM. Yes, strangers were able to access our room while we were in there (this was not the day of our check in of checkout), and the front desk never apologized. We contacted both Marriott and the property to report the issues and never received a resolution or even acknowledgment of the serious security issues we encountered.
The location was nice and staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. However, the temperature was not regulated in the facility after eating the food, many guests in my party became ill. Also, I canceled a second room reservation and was told one price for a cancellation fee, only to receive my credit card bill with another price. Three individuals, one being a manager, conveniently do not recall telling me the price. Had they given me the correct information, I would not have canceled. Although friendly with the apologies, the sorry was not accompanied by a retention, a coupon, a nothing. So, once I 'm burned....I don 't go back. So, sorry, in spite of the good, when you play with the church 's money it 's a wrap!
