It is disappointing because the staff from 2019-2020 was very friendly and the fruit was not cut terribly. Additionally, the owner was rude. If you are looking for another açaí spot, I recommend trying the place across the street. Edit: I just ate halfway through my bowl and found a strawberry, even though I had specifically requested that strawberries be removed from my sunshine bowl due to an allergy. If I could give this place a lower rating, I would. I hope I do not have a severe reaction now.

When I walked in, I was completely ignored by the staff who were busy on their phones video chatting with friends and preparing açaí bowls for them. While I waited for my order, another friend of the staff came in and she immediately made their bowl while I sat there for 20 minutes. In contrast, the staff at the Hauppauge SoBol location were friendly and hardworking. I will not be visiting the Islip location again, as it is clear that they prioritize certain customers over others. If you do not want to be ignored while spending your money, I recommend avoiding this location.

My bowl was not made correctly, so I politely asked for a new one. Instead of replacing it, the worker offered to give me extra ingredients in a side cup, which I found lazy and unsatisfactory. I expected better service for the price I paid. Eventually, the worker added the extra ingredients on top of my bowl, making it difficult to eat. Overall, I was disappointed with the service at this restaurant.
