We b... read more My friend & l decided on breakfast out & it was the first time here for both of us. The guy who took our order was very pleasant & met us with a big smile. We both ordered something different & l particularly liked the sound of poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, mushrooms & fetta.I wasn't far from finishing, when I noticed a black hair in my food. Immediately I stopped eating & my girlfriend confirmed it was hair (she's a hairdresser by profession).I went inside with my remaining meal, telling the staff about the hair & showed the staff member at the counter the hair. A lady then came from the kitchen area, and after l carefully handed her the hair, she proceeded to tell me it was the hair that's sometimes on the mushrooms! By this stage, she had lost or brushed away the strand of hair in question, much to my annoyance. I told her very clearly & firmly ( as she would not accept my version on the matter) this wasn't the case, it was black, had a slight wave & hair on mushrooms is not this length or look!I received no apology from this lady, yet the guy who originally took our order was very apologetic & understanding. The lady (I'm guessing one of the owners) offered me a discount or even free ( can't recall exact words) & l refused, saying that's not what l want. I wanted her to accept that there WAS a hair in my food - simple.I paid the tab in full. Very disappointing experience.

The staff were very friendly, very accom... read more After having such a hostile experience at another cafe, we wandered into the three daughters cafe. What a lovely place. The staff were very friendly, very accommodating to the little one I'd brought along with me. The menu is great, our food was delicious. I'd definitely come here again, breakfast, brunch or lunch. Homemade sausage rolls are great.

Servi... read more Trying as many cafes in Ivanhoe as I could, I saw this place and it looked good from the outset, so I wanted to try the coffee. I can say I'm impressed... Service was excellent and so friendly, and great value large coffee too. Coffee had a great strong taste with a nutty aftertaste, and I must say I love the unique bright orange lid for the takeaway cup... Immediately identifiable!! I'll be back again...
